Frogs have multiple stages in their life cycle.
An adult frog will lay 'fertilised' eggs that float on the surface of ponds or puddles. In this form the eggs are vulnerable to predators and many are taken as food by birds, fish and insects.
The surviving eggs will develop into tadpoles with poorly developed gills. The process continues with the tadpole slowly developing legs. The next stage of development is called a froglet, the developing animal has legs and a tail. The next stage is an immature fully formed Frog.
Frogs are cold blooded amphibians and in adult form wait until Spring to repeat the breading process.
All parts are hand made, all new material, washable and durable.
